Turkish guitarist Baran Guzelsoy, born in Istanbul, Turkey in 2005, began his musical journey into classical guitar at the age of 13. Under the guidance of esteemed instructors such as Recep Soyselcuk and Dr. Levent Fevzi Arslan at Asik Veysel Fine Arts High School, Baran excelled musically and academically, graduating with high honors. Continuing his education, he took private lessons with the accomplished Raffi Arslanyan.
Baran's musical talent extends beyond the classroom, as he has garnered recognition in various international and national guitar competitions. Notable achievements include first prize at the Arizona Music Competition, Aneselmo Academy Music Competition both in solo and chamber music divisions, securing the top spot at the Tekirdag National Guitar Competition, and earning accolades as a prize winner in the Ankara International Guitar Competition and Columbus State Guitar Competition (university division)
Presently, Baran is studying as a music performance major at Kean University in New Jersey, studying under the tutelage of the renowned guitarist Dr. Celil Refik Kaya. His dedication to his craft and numerous accolades underscore Baran Guzelsoy's promising future in the world of classical guitar.
